Yep, she's just chillin with that knife on a rock. I guess we're to assume the viewer is on land, or wading towards the sprightly thief with caution, as the look on her face is nothing but trouble.
This is probably the only piece of fan art I've done in close to 15 years, at least from a game franchise (edit: other than Metroid) so I'm happy with it. Also, c’mon, Chrono Cross was a fuckin awesome game, and if you say otherwise you’ve probably only played 10 minutes of it.

Yes, Chrono Cross was fucking awesome. Trigger couldn't hace hoped for a better sequel; the people who say otherwise wanted a rehash of the first game with all the same characters, which would have been disasterous. It's much more interesting to play out the repercussions of CT rather than just replay it. (and I think it had better music, but that may just be me).
You really did a great job of capturing her likeness man, it looks just like her. Excellent. Digging that water, too, that's a stylish way to do it. Did you do this all digitally or did it start on paper?
Hey thanks! The water was the funnest and most challenging part, since its pretty easy to just draw a character from someone else's design. Its all 100% digital, though I had Jaclyn's tablet and Painter IX to thank for all the pretty strokes and gradients.
I only got to play it when I first went over to america and someone let me have their playstation - so of course the first one I wanted to play was Trigger (but they'd lent it out to a friend - typical) so I decided on Cross and started playing and well -
indeed it was, chrono cross is one of the coolest games I ever got my paws on.......also, the leveling system was really revolutionary and interesting, not to mention that it wasn't annoying (unless you missed one or two stars and then had to fight some hard boss )
